Botulinum Toxin Type A is indicated for focal spasticity, including the treatment of: arm symptoms associated with focal spasticity in conjunction with physiotherapy; and dynamic equinus foot deformity due to spasticity in ambulant paediatric cerebral palsy patients, two years of age or older, only in hospital specialist centres with appropriately trained personnel.
Botulinum Toxin Type A is also indicated for the following treatments: Spasmodic torticollis in adults.
Blepharospasm in adults.
Hemifacial spasm in adults.
The temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (vertical lines between the eyebrows) seen at frown, in adult patients under 65 years, when the severity of these lines has an important psychological impact on the patient.
