Since the injection will be given to by a doctor or nurse, it is unlikely that the patient will be given too much.
If the patient thinks he/she has been given too much, or the patient begins to feel his/her heart beating very fast, he/she is breathing quickly, has a high temperature, feels restless, confused, has hallucinations, or loses co-ordination he/she must tell the person giving the injection immediately.
