Dry eye
Adult: Instil 1 or 2 drops into the eye(s) 3-5 times daily or as required. Solutions containing 0.3-1% hypromellose are commonly used, higher concentrations may be available in some countries. Dosage or dosing frequency recommendations may vary between individual products (refer to specific product guidelines).

Eye disorders: Transient mild stinging, temporary blurred vision, eye pain or irritation, foreign body sensation in eyes, ocular hyperaemia.

This drug may cause temporary blurring of vision upon administration, if affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Remove contact lenses before administration and reinsert them after 15 minutes. Discontinue use if eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation occur or if condition persists for >72 hours.

Description:
Mechanism of Action: Hypromellose, a methyl and hydroxypropyl mixed ether of cellulose, prolongs adhesion and enhances the moistening of the conjunctiva and cornea.
Synonym(s): Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
