Per 50 mcg Beclomethasone dipropionate 10 mg, HFA 134a. Per 250 mcg Beclomethasone dipropionate 50 mg, HFA 134a

Indications/Uses

Clenil 50 mcg: Maintenance treatment of asthma & bronchostenotic conditions. Clenil 250 mcg: Asthmatic patients whose symptoms are inadequately controlled w/ the usual dose of beclomethasone dipropionate via inhalation.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Clenil 50 mcg Adult 2 puffs qid. Severe cases Start w/ 3-4 puffs qid then adjust the dose according to response. Max: 20 puffs daily. Childn >6 yr 1-2 puffs bid to qid according to response. Max: 10 puffs daily. Clenil 250 mcg Adult 2 puffs bid or 1 puff qid. May increase to 2 puffs tid-qid.

Contraindications

Active or quiescent pulmonary TB, local viral infections.

Special Precautions

Pregnancy. Prolonged use. Concurrent systemic corticotherapy, severe asthma.

Adverse Reactions

Hoarseness, dry mouth; oropharyngeal candidiasis; potential paradoxical bronchospasm.
