Per 5 mL Glyceryl guaiacolate 30 mg, theophylline 50 mg

Indications/Uses

Bronchial asthma & other bronchospastic conditions.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 15-30 mL bid to tid. Childn 6-12 yr 5-10 mL bid to tid, <6 yr 2.5-5 mL bid to tid.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Peptic ulcer; active gastritis. Severe renal or liver impairment. Childn <6 mth

Special Precautions

CV, renal or hepatic diseases. Pregnancy. Childn. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

GI upsets; nervousness; urinary frequency.

Drug Interactions

Plasma levels increased by cimetidine, allopurinol, erythromycin. Synergistic effect w/ β-agonists. Decreases effectiveness of lithium.
