Indications/Uses
Monotherapy or in combination w/ other chemotherapeutic agents for metastatic non-seminomatous germ cell carcinoma, advanced stage refractory ovarian/bladder carcinoma, refractory squamous cell carcinoma of the head & neck.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV Adult & childn Monotherapy: 50-100 mg/m2 as single infusion every 3-4 wk over 6-8 hr or slow infusion of 15-20 mg/m2 daily for 5 days every 3-4 wk. Combination therapy w/ the following cytotoxic agents: Testicular cancer Vinblastine, bleomycin, actinomycin D. Ovarian cancer Cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, hexamethylmelamine, 5-fluorouracil. Head & neck cancer Bleomycin, MTX.
Contraindications
History of hypersensitivity to cisplatin or platinum-containing compd. Hearing disorders. Bone marrow depression. Generalised infections. Renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
