Acetylcysteine

Indications/Uses

Mucolytic agent in resp conditions associated w/ excessive mucus production.

Dosage/Direction for Use

100 mg Adult & childn >6 yr 2 sachets bd-tds. Childn 2-6 yr 1 sachet bd-qds according to age. Duration of treatment: 5-10 days. 200 mg Adult & childn >6 yr Acute treatment 1 sachet bd-tds. Duration of treatment: 5-10 days.

Administration

May be taken with or without food: Dissolve granules in about ½ glass of water. Avoid addition of drugs to soln. Take before or after meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. 200 mg: Childn <6 yr.
