Abilify Asimtufii

Acute & maintenance treatment of schizophrenia in adults. Maintenance treatment to prevent the recurrence of manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder in adults as monotherapy.

IM Starting regimen when transitioning from Abilify Maintena 400 mg once mthly 960 mg no sooner than 26 days after previous inj of Abilify Maintena 400 mg, then be dosed once every 2 mth (every 56 days). May also be started by following 1 of 2 additional regimens: 1 inj start: On the day of initiation following oral therapy, administer 1 inj of Abilify Asimtufii 960 mg & continue treatment w/ oral aripiprazole 10-20 mg/day for 14 consecutive days to maintain therapeutic aripiprazole conc during initiation of therapy. 2 inj start: On the day of initiation following oral therapy, administer 1 inj of Abilify Asimtufii 960 mg & 1 inj of Abilify Maintena 400 mg at 2 different inj sites, along w/ 1 dose of oral aripiprazole 20 mg. Recommended maintenance dose: 1 inj of Abilify Asimtufii 960 mg every 2nd mth. Inject once every 2 mth as single inj 56 days after previous inj. May be given up to 2 wk before or 2 wk after the scheduled 2-mth dose.
