Indications/Uses
Rhinol Relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema & other obstructive pulmonary diseases. Rhinol Plus Resp disorders complicated by bronchospasm & excessive secretion of tenacious mucus, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis & emphysema.
RhinolAdult 10 mL. Childn >12 yr 5-10 mL; 6-12 yr 5 mL; 2-6 yr 2.5-5 mL. Doses to be taken tid-qid. Rhinol Plus capAdult 1-2 cap bid-tid. Childn 6-12 yr 1 cap bid-tid. Rhinol Plus syrChildn 7-12 yr 10 mL every 4 hr; 2-6 yr 5 mL every 4 hr.
May mimic the result of excessive stimulation manifested by confusion, irritability, tremor, insomnia & restlessness. May reduce appetite; nausea & vomiting may occur. Co-administration w/ nonselective β-blockers eg, propranolol. Lactation.
Fine skeletal muscle tremor, feeling of tension. Rhinol Very rarely, angioedema, urticaria, bronchospasm, HTN & collapse. Rhinol Plus Peripheral vasodilation, small increase in heart rate, headache, transient muscle cramps, hypersensitivity reactions, hyperacidity in childn.
R05CA10 - combinations ; Belongs to the class of expectorants. Used in the treatment of wet cough. R03CC02 - salbutamol ; Belongs to the class of adrenergics for systemic use, selective beta-2-adrenoreceptor agonists. Used in the treatment of obstructive airway diseases.
