Dosage/Direction for Use

Childn 1-2 mg/kg given once or in divided doses. Short course therapy of 3-5 days needed to tapering of dose.

Special Precautions

Acute adrenal insufficiency may occur during prolonged or on cessation of treatment. Growth retardation in childn. Pregnancy.

Cushingoid symptoms. Amenorrhea, hyperhidrosis, skin thinning, ocular changes including development of cataract, mental & neurological disturbances, intracranial HTN, acute pancreatitis & aseptic necrosis of bone; thromboembolic complications; peptic ulceration; muscle weakness & wasting.
