Development of pneumonia in patients w/ COPD. Cushing's syndrome, Cushingoid features, adrenal suppression, growth retardation in childn & adolescents, decrease in bone mineral density, cataract, glaucoma & central serous chorioretinopathy. Possibility of impaired adrenal response in patients transferring from oral to inhaled therapy. Possible need for additional therapy in times of stress. May unmask allergies eg, allergic rhinitis or eczema. Do not stop treatment abruptly. Patients w/ active or quiescent pulmonary TB. Paradoxical bronchospasm. Pregnancy & lactation.
