Per 10 mL Na alginate 1,000 mg, K bicarbonate 200 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of acid reflux eg, acid regurgitation, heartburn & indigestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult, elderly & childn >12 yr 5-10 mL.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take after meals & at bedtime.
Special Precautions
Not to be used in hypophosphatemic patients. Patients w/ very low gastric acid levels. May cause allergic reactions due to methyl & propyl paraben. May mask serious underlying situations. Highly restricted salt diet. Not to be used in severe/partial renal impairment. Not recommended in childn <12 yr. Risk of hypernatremia in childn w/ renal failure or gastroenteritis.
Drug Interactions
Allow 2-hr interval in concomitant use w/ tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, Fe salts, thyroid hormones, chloroquine, bisphosphonates, estramustine.
