Why do I need this medicine?
Cyanocobalamin is used to treat and prevent certain types of anaemia (low red blood cell count in the body) due to deficiency in cobalamin (vitamin B12).
How do I use this medicine?
Cyanocobalamin injection is to be given intramuscularly (into the muscle, usually into the muscles of the upper arm, thigh or buttocks) or subcutaneously (into the fatty layer under the skin, usually in the thigh, upper arm, or abdomen area).

Your doctor or nurse will administer the injection for you.

The dose of this medicine will be decided by your doctor. Your doctor will advise you on the course of treatment depending on the type of your condition and response to the medication.

Cyanocobalamin must be used regularly for it to be effective. Continue using this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop using it unless instructed by the doctor.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
