Indications/Uses
Local anaesth, disinfectant, & lubricant for catheterisation, probing, urethral operation, all types of endoscopies, intubation & prevention of iatrogenic injuries to the rectum & colon.
Catheterisation Slowly instill 11 mL into the urethra; compress the glans until the local anaesth & antiseptic effect set in. Cytoscopy & endoscopy Instill 11 mL; add 11 mL if necessary. Apply a penile clamp in the region of the coronal sulcus. Urethral strictures (stricture division, bougienation) Instill 11 mL; add 11 mL if necessary. Apply a penile clamp. Disinfection Evenly spread/instill 11 mL on the mucous membrane. Other applications Slowly instill 11 mL into the relevant body orifice &/or spread the gel as evenly as possible on the catheter to be inserted or on the instrument.
