Per 5 mL Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg, promethazine HCl 3.6 mg, ephedrine HCl 6 mg

Indications/Uses

Symptomatic relief of nasal congestion & coughs.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 5-10 mL tds-qds. Childn 6-12 yr 2.5-5 mL tds.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Lower resp tract symptoms (eg, asthma), thyrotoxicosis, HTN or cardiac diseases, comatose state, patients receiving MAOIs. Childn <2 yr. Pregnancy & lactation.

Special Precautions

Bone marrow depression, sleep apnea, cholestatic jaundice, angina pectoris, chronic heart disease, prostatic hypertrophy. Narrow-angle glaucoma. Childn.

Adverse Reactions

Constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, dryness of mouth, excitation, mental confusion, GI disturbances, palpitation, difficulty in micturition, muscular weakness, tremors & restlessness. Large doses may cause resp depression.
